Mika Haykowsky, the visionary founder of The Mika Method, boasts a track record of years in sustained art practice, generously supported by paid exhibitions, art commissions, murals, and successful grants. Mika Haykowsky holds an esteemed MFA from The Trondheim Academy of Fine Art (Norway) and a distinguished BFA from the University of Alberta.

As a budding business-owner, her skills include community-building, leadership, strategic agility, meticulous planning, succinct writing and editing, resource management, art installation expertise, and seamless event coordination.

Mika demonstrates a remarkable ability to ask incisive questions and engage in active listening. With the completion of 5 artist residencies across Canada, she brings invaluable experience in leading art workshops and delivering captivating artist talks.

She resides in and actively contributes to the board of a housing co-operative, displaying a deep commitment to enriching Edmonton’s thriving community.
